Finally got my card to upload! I worked on this card for 3 hours, as i did a lot of tampering and quirking to get what i wanted. I still don't have it quite there, but it's close.
The challenge was to use something I hadn't used in a while for whatever reason. I bought these and hadn't used them yet! Also I wanted to do something different with the cup.
SO, I cut out the scallop circle, and then used a punched out 1 3/4" circle to trace a circle in the center, as the punch doesn't fit all the way through. cut it out by hand. i decorated in the inside of the cup with a stamped piece of CS...I also had to trim it down to fit a little better, the 1 3/4" circle is a bit big....I might have been able to get it to fit anyway. The edge of the hat is a 1/2" x 5" strip of the same CS design. I still don't have it quite to the easily demonstratable status, i think. perhaps a circle scissor would do a better job here.
attached the bow with a glue dot....the rim of the hat is attached with glue dots as well.
Also, as you can see i wanted to be able to get to the cup without destroying it, and because of the dimensions of the card, i decided to turn this into a swivel/hinge card. The single brad on the one side allows the hat to swing all the way to the other side, so you can get to the bottom of the treat cup. it is sealed with a piece of CS, however i would probably adapt it some way to get it easier to open still!
Other than this i kept it simple, keeping the effect on the hat itself. What do you think? I had a fun idea, and I think it looks really cute!
