Halloween Magnolia

Photo Details
Poster: Milawi

I made this card tonight. I had finished all the gift wallets that I had to make and wanted to make a card for fun. I followed 3 different challenges for my card: The sketch is from Mojo monday, Papertake weekly has a theme: The dark side and Cupcake craft challenges asks for buttons & stitching. Tilda was coloured with distress ink (for the face) and peerless paint. Last week Jacqui wrote an excellent tutorial on her blog and offcourse I had to try it. I think my Tilda looks ok, so thank you Jacqui for the great tutorial! I cut Tilda out and used foamtape to mount her on the rectangles that I cut with my nestabilties. With a white gelpen I have drawn the little dots on the scallop rectangle. I printed the big black dots on a piece of orange paper. With a black fineliner I changed some of the dots into little spiders. I gave them eyes with a white gelpen. I also added a gingham ribbon and 2 black buttons. With a white gelpen I did the faux stitching on my card.
Inside the card I made a little box for a kitkat chocolate bar. The box was made from the orange dotted paper and again I changed some of the dots into little spiders. I added a gingham ribbon. The little bat is a digital image from Softpencil. I coloured it with derwent pencils. I also coloured it with a clear spica glitter pen.
On the right side I added some paper so you can write a personal message in the card. I added 2 strips of the orange paper. I used the olivia alfabet to write the sentiment: happy halloween. I coloured the letters with the clear spica glitter pen. I did some faux stitching on the piece of white paper and doodled 2 little spiders in the corner.
