I love this time of year when Christmas projects start popping up everywhere, itÂ’s truly my favorite season. Not because of receiving presents, but the colors, lights and BLING, BLING, BLING. Just a happy time of year.
For my project today, I wanted to make something using the Christmas Vintage Postcard Kit, and Chipboard Rectangle Album from Crafty Secrets. IsnÂ’t he beautifulÂ…. heÂ’s my favorite image for sure. I started by tracing around the Rectangle Album on Navy Blue cardstock, then glued the cardstock to the chipboard. Do the same for the Santa image. On the larger rectangle, sponge Snow Cap and Cloudy Blue pigment inks, staying in the center of chipboard (see last photo). I wanted to lighten the darkness LOL!! Sponge edges with darker inks, spray Glimmer Mist over both pieces. With the Waterfall Stickles, create swirls on the larger chipboard, cut and emboss both flowers and leaves, and add Vintage Glass Glitter Shards as shown. I used Alcohol inks to color the rhinestones green (they were white/clear), and the Krylon Gold pen, and go around edges. Assemble as shown.
