 | | Heartbreaker, yep. This is my great-great grandmother, Emma Zuella (Francis) Blauvelt, born in 1850 in New York City. She married Silas Blauvelt in 1873 and they settled in Brooklyn and had four children. But, oh- the life she led prior to meeting up with Silas! Yes, you can see the Olympic Gold Metal she won for breaking cowboy's hearts 'round 1870 or so. The details are a bit sketchy, but you can tell by her fine form, that girl had it all!
Emma became part of this crazy challenge between myself and Nancy (nwilliams6). Nancy's challenge to me this month was to make a funny card, using a photo of a relative no longer living, our initials somewhere on the front, and also use an embellishment not commonly seen on a card. (I used straw, probably from Emma's romps in the barn! Shh.....) Please take a look at Nancy's card! OMGosh, it is too funny!
