I've been wanting to try the recessed window technique, ever since I saw Beate's wonderful card! There's a great tutorial in the resources section. I decided to start my scene on the frame and carry it into the recessed portion. On kraft cs I stamped the branches with white craft and added the berries. The pinecones were stamped with choc chip craft, on another piece of cs, embossed with clear ep, cut out and popped up with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped with choc craft, using the stampamajig for placement, and embossed with clear ep. The red base of the card is 5" square and I made the 1/4" spine like Beate suggested, so the red piece was 5" x 10 1/4" and scored for folding. I'm really pleased with how it turned out and will definitely make more, for some special Christmas cards!
