Hi! This card was made for today's Limited Supply Challenge: Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man. Participants were to make MANLY cards that did not have flowers, bling, or ribbon-(twine was acceptable).
I went to visit my mother yesterday, and she asked that I make a series of cards for my father, for after mother passed away. I was quite shocked that she wanted me to make these, as she is an artist, and could very well paint for him. She said, "My dear, I want you to be part of this journey, so that you will remember, too." It seems she recently saw, "P.S. I Love You," and decided she wanted Dad to have "help" from her after she was gone.
She insisted upon an anniversary card that mentioned dreams. So, I chose this sentiment to go with the tree. (I think Dad said something about dreams when he proposed to her...not really clear about the details...)One finished...11 more to go.
The image was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and the colors are CHALKS that were sponged in and then WATERCOLORED in with an aqua painter!

Okay, this is gonna make me cry!! What a lovely thing that you and your mom are doing for your dad . . . something that will touch all of you deeply, I'm sure. This is such a beautiful card, too (even though it is more masculine, I can use the word beautiful, right??). Very nice, Faith . . .
