This is a 5x7 tri-shutter card for my dad for Father's Day.
One of my (now) fondest memories is going to Topsail Island off the NC coast near Wilmington. We went every summer and at the time, I wished we could go somewhere else just ONCE! For a kid, it got rather tiresome on the first day back to school when the teachers invariably asked, "Where did you go on your vacation?" and everyone else listed exotic places like the Grand Canyon, Disneyworld or even grandma's house! But my dad traveled for a living and had discovered this remote "paradise" (with only one restaurant, a tackle shop, a pier and a couple of motels at the time, I'm sure my mom didn't think it was paradise!) And he loved the ocean, the fishing and the solitude. So off we would go every year.
One of the things we did was to go shelling and collecting shark's teeth. And boy, there were some big ones back then! Now a sand bar has come in and negatively affected the fishing, the shelling and the collecting of sharks' teeth. But I put three shark's teeth on this card, just for old time's sake, along with fun fish and shells.
I used the Rainbow Sherbert dsp from SU and some SU stamps, along with various charms and epoxy stickons. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking!
