Challenge Focus: Create a project that screams school's out for summer. Do you like the beach, camping, the mountains, bbqing, you name it, whatever screams summer to you is fair game.
Required Element: Mini brads
Restricted Element: Buttons
Canning has become one of the marks of summer in our house. Usually the day after school lets out my sons and I go strawberry picking so I can make jam for the coming school year. Just before school starts back up I am busy with the peach jam.
I made the strawberry with an oval punch that I embossed with the Swiss Dots folder. I used the reverse side, adding dots of black glaze pen to the holes for the seeds. The top uses the 5 petal flower punch with old olive textured cardstock.
Paper: kraft, vanilla, real red, old olive, old olive texutred; Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Farmers Market DP

Accessories: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, SU wide oval punch, 5 petal flower punch, Martha Stewart border punch, SU black gingham ribbon, tag, black mini brads, machine stitching, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 circle punches, dimensionals, black glaze pen

How adorable and delicious! I love projects like this that reveal the life and personality of the giver and have some longevity for the recipient. What a fun tradition!
