We played from a childrenÂ’s shoe site named bugaloo for the IC challenge this week. I loved all the colors on this full page of little girlÂ’s shoes and tried to pull as many as possible into the card and this designer paper made it pretty easyÂ…and can you tell blue is my favorite color! I also liked the birds so I picked out this silly one that I hadnÂ’t used yet. I also went with a very quick and simple layout.
Thanks Stephanie for another great challenge!
-I layered the rust and designer paper then die cut the scalloped Nestibilities so the blue you see in the scallops is actually the card base.
-I stamped the bird image first then made the cut with Nestibilities. The leaves were stamped then I added color.
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique found in the resources forum here at SCS.
-The nail heads are attached with Diamond Glaze.

What a fabulous little bird ... love the stamping on the inside too and how you framed your bird with the die cut scallop circle ... fantastic inspired card.

This doesn't present as a simple layout at all! Wonderful card, although your bird seems to have just a little attitude. ;-) Or is it late and I'm hallucinating?
It matters not, this is such a wonderful card! tsmfs

What a perfect way of using that very busy paper - mine is still all in the pad. And I really like the way you mounted the toucan in the negative scallop.
