Lynn, thanks for this great technique! I definitely will be using it again and possibly tweaking it a little. LOL On to the card details.............
Speaking of details, sometimes I feel I rattle on and on about the makings of my cards. BUT, I am so glad I do because now I have a place I can go and refresh my memory on how I did something.
Case in point, I made this peony image panel last week, didn't write anything down. Now other than the name of the stamp and the scoring part, I haven't a clue what colors I used. I think I w/c this. It is shiny so obviously I clear ep it too. So, point here is, write down what you do or you too could forget like me! LOL
The peony is new this month from Clear Dollar Stamps . I was trying to achieve the look of tile with an image in it. Oh well.
For the bg, I use kraft cs and four acrylic paints. Since this was done today I remember the colors......fuchsia, copen blue, crocus yellow and black, because I couldn't find gold or silver.
Did some paper piercing in two corners then turned them into faux stitching. Layered the bg on a black card. Put my image on black cs and popped it up on the bg dp.
Well, thanks for looking. Hope it was worth your clicking on it....................TFS :0)
Hi Sis!
Just noticed I also splattered white acrylic paint over top of the bg. Sheesh! My mind just escapes me sometimes!

Well this peony is beautiful Cathy and the background tiling too. I love your card and colors!!! TFS

I don't care what you splattered or if you remember the exact technique with the tiled beauty...because this is a one of a kind Mutnik, and who could possibly recreate one of those besides you? And you are always off on one new exciting stamping adventure or another and turn up something new, so we'll forgive you your wilty memory, hee! This is FANTASTIC and sooo colorful!
