This is my card for WT222. As I am not at all into distressing, I was not sure how this would turn out, but in the end I was pleased.
First I chose some colours for the flower, so that dictated the rest. I cut them using the Blossoms Nestabilities and followed the tutorial. I found my sanding block easier to use than the BG file. The centre is just a punched orange circle layered up on 2 bits of cereal box, with eyelets set in and ribbon threaded through.
My background is Polished Stone - I used mostly Stream and Bottle, with a little bit of Terra Cotta to pick up the orange, and some Pearl Mixatives. Then I stamped it with my (accidentally) dilute Rangers Archival Black and French Script. I stamped several times randomly, as I wasn't worried about a clean look. I distressed and sponged the edges, but it still seemed to call for real sewing - luckily there was even blue thread in the machine! Then I punched two holes down the side and threaded the knotted ribbon through.
The sentiment is a rub-on on a scrap of the Polished Stone, layered up on two ovals and then on dimensionals.
The flourish is from Maya Road - I inked it with white, embossed twice with white EP and then stamped with the script stamped inked up with turquoise. Added the orange snaps, and that's it, I think
Totally not me!

There are so many nice details on this card. I like the stitching around the edges, the way you did the ribbon, and the background paper you created. So nice.

Super, super cute! I am not a distressing girl either and I love the way this turned out. I like the combo of the background pattern and the embellishments. The flowers turned out great.

This is SO pretty! Love the center of your flower and the orange just pops against the soft blues. GREAT card!
