This graduation card is my entry for today's Ways to Use It Challenge (WT221)--to create a design along a certain theme when you donÂ’t have stamps or products that really captures it. I needed to make a graduation card for my cousin's daughter and I kept putting it off because I don't have any graduation-y stamps or embellishments. So this challenge was perfect for me!! It gave me the nudge I needed to make something graduation-themed myself.
And since I loved the sketch from yesterday's sketch challenge (SC231) so much, I used it again for the layout of this card. Easy peasy, lemon squeezey!! This is becoming one of my favorite layouts . . .
I used circle punches to construct the "beanie" portion of my mortarboard and my mini paper cutter to cut a rectangle into a diamond for the "board" portion on top. I tied my own tassel for the mortarboard from gold embroidery floss.
Incidentally, no rubber stamps were harmed in the making of this card (front)! I used the SU Congrats main stamp "Congratulations" on the inside.
This was really fun!!
Thanks for looking!

Very striking! I can't believe you didn't even use any stamps. This looks great! I like your balance of 3 cords and three eyelets in the upper right corner.
