I received some awesome mermaid images from MishB. Please check out her gallery when you get a chance.MishB's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I needed to make a card using a mermaid for the owner's daughter because she just adores mermaids.
I started with barely banana cs as the base for a tall card. I layered with bazzill greenish cs along with DCWV Nursery glitter dp. I used a ticket corner punch on the corners and added mini gold self stick beads. I also used a piece of green sticky mesh ribbon across the seams of the dp. The image is stamped with black stazon. I colored the mermaid with my primascolor pencils, blending stumps and mineral spirits. I used stickles for the hair and the fin and used a 2 way glue pen for the body and the leaves, then sprinkled diamond dust on it. I added felt flowers, prima flowers and big rhinestone brads for the centers of the flowers. They are raised with 3D dots. The mermaid is layered with the same cs, used the ticket corner punch on the barely banana cs and it's raised with 3D squares. I used a rectangle punch on the green bazzill cs and a small rectangle punch on GP white cs and hand wrote the sentiment with a black sharpie.
I wanted to make a scene card, just didn't have the time even though I knew when her birthday was 5 months ago. Of course, I waited 'til the last minute to do it.

Connie, sis...I think you did a great job on this being it at a last minute card. I love the sparkles in her hair and the coloring is perfect. Did she like the card?
