This is for May's DD/DDA Challenge: H2O-- to create a design having anything to do with water, use watercoloring as a medium, and only 2 embellishments!
My water is a "Walk on the Beach!" I love looking for shells when we vacation in Florida...little bits and pieces, and sometimes quite large! I wanted my scene to look as if it's right at the water's edge...
I stamped my image onto watercolor paper with Versafine Black Onyx ink, then used Lyra Aquacolors to paint it. After it dried, Crystal Effects were brushed over the entire surface.
I then stamped the image once more with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto PTI white, and colored just the shells with Copic markers. I then cut them out, covered them with 2 coats of Crystal Effects, and mounted them onto the image panel.
The final touch (and 2 embellishments) was a
twine "bow" with a real shell.
Hope you like it! If you would like to see more, check out my blog:

Oh my Deb...this really has such a stunning look. Gorgeously colored...it has such warmth, and I just love the play of water rolling in on the sand...WOW!
