 | | So many thoughts about this card! Anne, this room has inspiration for days, thanks for the Inspiration Challenge! I don't have hydrangias to stamp, but I knew exactly what colors I wanted to use to echo the wallpaper for today's IC room, here is my take. The card is for my daughter, but the sentiment and inspiration is for my son as well. They were both WONDERFUL in their stage performance tonight ... A Little Nutcracker, which was sadly cancelled in December due to a bit of snow and ice that had school and activities cancelled (and would make many of you in Northern climates roll with laughter)!
This is the 8th year my DD has been dancing and in this show. A mother of a younger dancer came up to me during intermission and was almost speechless trying to explain how overcome and emotional she felt watching my daughter's class, how far they've come in the time since she started watching. I knew exactly what she felt. There are two high school seniors in the dance company this year, and I remember their first show with pointe shoes . . . I get teary watching every year as these dancers grow up and progress even though they don't know me!
So, this is the card I made seeing the IC room and seeing my children on stage tonight. My heart is swelling with pride. I need to make something special for my son as well, but he is satisfied by a tight hug for almost any occasion!
