For the fifth April Viva la Verve challenge, we were to make a spring card. I used Verve's new sets, Because of You and Wishful Elegance, to make a Mother's Day card for a grandma.
I used markers in Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Gable Green and Green Galore to ink up the flower image, huff and then stamp onto Whisper White. Used circle Nesties to make all the mats. Stamped the background stamp in Perfect Plum onto Pale Plum. The "Grandma" and sentiment were stamped in Elegant Eggplant craft ink and let dry. I like the sets of craft ink spots because you get a whole color family rather than just one large ink pad.
Used the eyelet border punch on a strip of Perfect Plum and added some Offray ribbon from Michael's. Had some matching thread to hang the heart charm from the bow. Some paper piercing fills in the white space under the sentiment panel. The two corners on top are Decorative Photo Corners Shapeabilities. It seemed empty without something there because there's a lot going on elsewhere on this card. The adhesive rhinestones are from Target. I finally got some square envelopes at the LSS, so this is my first square card! Thanks for looking.
