When I first saw the teapot, I thought of the Bella Rose floral print from SU!. So I went with that for the background. I made a ruffly edge to my circle to match the ruffly cabbage leaves. The butterfly I couldn't get just right. I stamped two different ways with the butterfly from God's Beauty, and didn't like it. So this one was made from the scallop circle punch. Still not quite what I was after, but it will have to do.
I actually could have been to the teaparty early today, since I was finished over an hour ago, but my internet was out. No internet, no phone, and no tv. What's there left to do??? Clean??? Well, I did throw in a load of laundry...
TFL!!

Kris, great teaparty card. I love your cabbage. That paper is perfect. I love your little scalloped butterfly. Isn't it frustrating when technology doesn't work correctly? I hope the rest of the day goes better. I am sure that it will now that you have arrived at the teaparty.

I like pleating ribbon round circles, but I've never done it with edged ribbon like this which adds an extra cool touch. And the scallop punch butterfly is so clever, too. I'll remember that when I feel that I'm over-using my butterfly punches.

Oh LOVE that swirly dp and the butterfly you made! Thank GOODNESS your internet is back...that way you didn't have to switch the laundry to the dryer or FOLD it, EEK! I think I would rather sit in my computer chair and stare at that Internet Explorer Cannot Find Window screen for an hour straight rather than doing laundry!!!!

Your ruffled ribbon is the perfect interpretation of the challenge. You are right, the Bella Rose paper has just the right colors. So glad you were able to make the tea party. There would be nothing more frustrating than have a card made and not be able to post.

Your card is da bomb. I wish I coulda been here earlier today too. What a bummer that your internet was down...that is bad news for us SCS/blogging junkies! Hee!
The butterfly is awesome. When I pulled your card up my first thought was....a great looking butterfly, then I thought, wow, cool ruffles around the circle, then I thought, yep, perfect paper choice! You did good and I am so happy you came again this week!
Thank you for the link.....and for bringing this wonderful card.
Oh one more thing, do you need us tea potters to call you local internet service provider and give them a piece of our mind???? We can do!

Aluminum butterflies to ruffles. I just love how you used that ribbon to add the edge to your green DP circle. Very lovely, creative and inspirational. Fantastic Kris. You really gotta try the peas and brownies, together of course.

You were definitely right about that paper being the perfect choice! Your layout is super and I love your butterfly. What an inspiration to use that ribbon as the edge of the cabbage. So creative!
