Well I am fashionably late to this week's tea party! That is after all what truly Artsy Fartsy people do you know. And I have been told on numerous occasions that I can be Artsy Fartsy. Not that I try, mind you, it just "happens".
But I am here to tell Miss Cindy, our lovely hostess, that even she has that Artsy Fartsy tendancy deep inside. She just squelches it way to often for it to come out naturally anymore.
Miss Cindy, let go. Just let go. Let the art flow out of you!!! Gracious, even Charlie the Church Mouse helped me with this week's card. He can even let that inner artist free to just be and create! Look at how delicately he danced across the card! I'm truly impressed with his inner artist dancing free!
Miss Cindy, just let go and let it flow girl!!!
(just a few interesting facts about this piece of Artsy Fartsy work:
the pear is heat embossed in gold and water colored. It has wings, well, just because Miss Cindy said something about not being able to throw any fruit. She didn't happen to mention anything about fruit that can fly of it's own accord!!
The yellowy paper is stamped with More Mustard using the Weathered stamp.
The rusty paper is stamped in Really Rust using French Flair.
The burgundy paper is stamped in Purely Pomegranate using French Script.
You do know that ALL Artsy Fartsy pieces must have something French on them, don't you??? And that you must use an exorbitant amount of stamps and inks. Don't you???)
Could someone please tell the gorilla that Charlie the Church Mouse is not a gambler!!! He can't get his little paws around the poker chips!!
Well thanks so much for partaking in a moment of Artsy Fartsyness with me! You can join us at the tea party, no Artsyness required. Here's where: http://mothermark.blogspot.com/

OH I GET IT, sweet Minister's Wife, I GET IT! And I LOVE it! Charlie's feet, the flying pear...and those clips are holding the card down because you stashed some BINGO CHIPS under there, wink, wink...because you wouldn't want to tell The Minister we were playing any games EXCEPT BINGO, giggle, giggle! This is artsey fartsey pure genius, and only you could put all these little elements together to make such a beautiful end result...hey, you're like Picasso...not everyone looks at HIS art and gets it...only the smart ones, like the Teapartiers, hee!

Well isn't this cute. I love your write up. I can't believe your pear can fly. WOW it has some ideal wings. I am so happy that Charlie can attend. I think I have a mouse image but he is eating a strawberry. That's a fruit I hope we see at the party. Very artsy fartsy...Super job..

Lois, I love your pear with wings. That is so creative. I love seeing Charlie's footprints. I know we were all eating healthy this week with fruit and all, but I think someone, who will remain unnamed, might have brought more chocolate pudding. I think Charlie might have accidentally stepped on the lid and got chocolate pudding on his feet. The swirly clips are awesome on your card. I too have wondered what the non teapartiers think about our card descriptions. SNORT

I love your arty pear still-life. I even like the mice-prints - because it looks as if Charlie is not interested in the pear but moving straight onto something more interesting. I wonder what he has spotted that the rest of us have missed?

Charlie spotted the money on the poker table! That's what he's after Sabrina! I think I feel a game of BINGO coming at the next tea party! Do I have a bingo teapot? Not sure, I will check!
Okay, I am one of the ones that have told you you have an artsey fartsey side. And after looking at this card and reading your comments that feeling is reinforced! I also think you are a bit eccentric....telling me to go with the flow, let it loose, let if flow...you sound just like a arteest...you can even paint with a banana I bet!
Lois your card is wonderful, wonderful. I love that Charlie is involved, by the way he is cleaning up at the poker table, seems he and the gorilla are beating the pants off everyone. He may not wanna go home! Your flying pear is creative and fun, should I be worried it might nail me in the face?
Love that you came again! Thanks for your card, your story and your link! You arteest you!

This turned out great!! And it couldn't be any more artsy fartsy since you have a butterfly with the word "art" all over it!! PERFECT!!! I love how you combined all those different background stamps on your layers. Definately arsty!

A pear and a butterfly. What a great combination. You certainly did take Cindy's teapot an make it into a work of art. It is late and I am tired so I won't go get into the discussion of gorillas, mice, gambling, fruit etc. This week's party has worn me out!

All this from pure imagination huh...Well, I do love your artsy fartsy card. Charlie seems to have had a peek at it up close and personal. Hope he didn't leave anything else on it now. Did see him at the table, while I was "cleaning" it out for him. You couldn't see the poor thing behind all those poker chips! Just being my helpful self you know. (smile)
Well, yes, one would wonder about it, but then, it's caseing material my dear, wow I love your creation Lois. TFS
