I made this for today's WT challenge, using my iron in some way or another. Joanne made several suggestions. Because I like Fantasy Fibre and Film I thought I'd try one of the other ideas she gave - so I tried the Melted Wax Crayon background. Yikes - apart from not turning out looking worh using, I also think my iron has a cut-out thing if it's covered for too long, and I thought I might have broken it.
So back to the drawing board.
Faux Batik colorwash style was a TLC back in September last year, TLC188. I didn't have color-washes then, and I still don't, but in the mean time I did buy some re-inkers.
So, I stamped the grass from Inspired by Nature with Versamark onto some lovely Japanese silk paper, and embossed with clear EP. Then I sprayed it with some diluted re-inkers, and then ironed it between clean paper till all the EP was ironed out.
I used spray-mount to back it with white card, then trimmed it and layered it onto brown Bazzill.
For the flower, I used Marvy Markers, misted it and then stamped onto light card and cut out. To get the rough edges on the cones I distressed them a bit.
That was it, really.
Standard A2 base card.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I don't think I am adventurous enough to try this, but with this beauty the result of your efforts, maybe I'll have to be more daring and try it after all! ;0)

The batik background is beautiful, Sabrina, the silk paper has given it a gorgeous look! My heat gun has that thermal cut out thing too, BTW - I've lost track of how many times I've thought it's given up the ghost when it won't switch on again after a bout of embossing! Glad your iron recovered OK!
