Hi! This card was made for today's Ways to Use It Challenge: Hot Metal. We were to use an IRON on our card. It could be used for ANY application/technique.
Okay...So, I had to SEARCH my house for an iron. I'm not joking. Seriously, stop laughing! I tore through the linen closet and found the ironing board! It was on the BACK, behind the UNUSED cleaning supplies, spare vacuum bags, liquid starch, (okay, I have NEVER used THAT!), and the moth balls. I found it, near the alarm clock...an hour later!!!
I stamped the shell images onto white card stock and embossed in clear. This got a shiny, crisp look. However, I wanted the shells to be "blurry" or "Shabby Chic-ish." So, I grabbed another sheet of white and placed it on top of the embossed sheet and IRONED them together on HIGH. I peeled off the top sheet and VOILA! I had a "blurry" image! And, it's not so shiny!
I cut the piece with a Nestie. It's the top background. I stamped the images in Close to Cocoa on the other layers and cut to size. The sand-dollar was stamped in Chocolate Chip and cut out. The starfish, Seahorse and scallop shells are sponged Cuttlebug die cuts. I found the shell charm in my charm box...

This design is a beaut, faith! I like the colors and the textured details. Funy story too! If I was you, I'd put that iron back right where you found it!!! I hope no one caught you using it!
