I just realized when I was uploading this card, that I used this stamp for the sketch challenge last week too. Last week I water colored this image, and I wanted to try the black magic technique on this image. I liked this card much better when it was in my mind than how it actually turned out. I was really happy with the image last week, and the colors this time with black magic just seem too muted. Maybe I will try it again, or maybe I'll just still to watercoloring! LOL
The image was stamped with silver pigment ink, and embossed with silver EP. It was then colored with prismas and blended with OMS. I was trying to not have to mat each layer, so I created borders around them by piercing, and using the southwest corner punch with silver cord. The background is CB embossing folder, then silver ink brushed on the diamonds.

Kris, I think I liked last week's better too. But there are elements on this card that I really like. The faux stitching around the edges looks really nice. Especially on the gold panel. I like the little diamonds on the blue base. I also like the brads and the silver cording. The black magic makes me think of what the cacti would look like in the moonlight.
