It is saturday again and that means time for one of my favorite challenges: the Penny Black saturday challenge. This weeks challenge is a recipe. On your card you have to use 3 brads, 2 pieces of ribbon and one flower. A great challenge again. For my card I used one of my big Penny Black stamps: The essentials. I colored the cats with derwent and caran d'ache pencils. I used my clear spica glitter pen to add some glitter to the present and the bouquet. With a white gelpen I coloured some dots on the cheeks and the envelope. On the square where I stamped the cats I first printed my sentiment (congratulations). I matted the square on black paper, so there is a little black edge showing. I used 2 pieces of black satin ribbon. I made the flower with a die from quickutz. I have drawn some dots on it with a black glaze pen and I used a black brad. I used foamtape to attach it to my card. I made a knot in the upper ribbon and used two mini brads on the ribbon. I made the pink striped background on a white card. For my card I followed a sketch from Jen del Muro.
