I bought a new supply of Dollar Tree sponges, the ones with a scrubby on one side. Was sitting at my craft table with my electric knife cutting off the scrubby side and making little sponge squares. Went to throw away the scrubby part and thought.....hmmmm, I wonder what this would look like if I stamped with it. So I did. I inked up a scrubby square and as I put it to the cs I gave it a little twist. Was happy with the result and proceeded to make a couple of bg dp's. So when I saw the challenge today, I was excited to use one of my newly made bg's.
Wasn't sure what I was going to put on it until late last night when for some reason I got a little bit of energy, sat down and just started stamping this little scene. Colored parts with copic markers to add a little color. Sponged the edges.
I added three red brads for color and glued on my Folk Artsy Scene.....a little tilted on purpose, on a white card that I sponged the edges with faded jeans. Not my usual homemade dp, but I kind of like this one. It really grows on you if you look at it for awhile.
Let me know what you think..........as always, TFL :0)

Cathy, your background is awesome. The swirlies made by the scrubby side of the sponge looks like tumbleweeds. I bet that it would look really good with your old time wagon.

Well look at you. Love the twist you added. It really gives it such a super look. This is a great scene. Makes me want to head out West. Only if it is warm because it is cold and raining here. Great job Mutnik....I have had no time to stamp or comment. Will catch up later.
