I have no clue where my Crafting Mojo has been this week, but I almost didn't post this card until I found some humor in it.
Normally I love to fit in some kind of paper crafting every day as time allows, but for some reason, this week just wouldn't work out for me.
I started with some of the challenges - but none were completed.
ex.
Tues - didn't have the correct colors but thought I could work with the rose colored pattern paper that is now behind the giraffe panel -- no go, nothing to go with it.
Wed - Sketch challenge - thought I could use these really cute new giraffes I had gotten a couple weeks ago from h & m stamps but couldn't get my panels to work right for the sketch so the stamped panel went into the box with the discarded rose paper from the day before.
Thurs - challenge was to "bling up" your paper. I took the gold colored textured cardstock that is now behind the rose pattern paper on this card, and embossed it with my cuttlebug folder, then covered it with versamark and heat embossed a pale pink over it to highlight the text - hahaha, too much versamark and horrible blobs of pink on the yellow - this is why this piece is turned upside down on this card.
Now it is Sunday and I see that our friend Vicky Gould is the featured stamper. I tell myself that I cannot pass up the opportunity to case one of her cards but have the nagging feeling that I have lost all ability to make a card from my prior attempts this week. Fast forward to this evening --- I decide to take a look at Vicky's gallery and there on page 2 is my "Mojo". she has this card with an adorable giraffe on it that she was making for a past challenge and goofed up on it. Dang Flower! by Vicky Gould at Splitcoaststampers
I sat there laughing to myself and got out my box of messed up trials from this week and put them all together and came up with this card.
My title is a take on Vicky's title. I changed the colors and the images for my Case of her card.
Sorry to be so long winded, but maybe I can get past the humor of my lost Mojo and try to recover it.
