The third challenge of the January Mini “Crush” VSN was to use flocking or felt on a card. I painted the center of a punched heart with a glue pen and sprinkled it with flocking. This is the first time I’ve ever used flocking and at first, while the glue was wet, it didn’t look white and fluffy. I set it aside and began to watercolor the image and was pleased to see that once it dried, it looked white and fluffy as I’d hoped.
The stamp I used has one mouse holding a sprig of mistletoe over two other mice. I painted the image with watercolor pencils and cut it out, cutting away the mistletoe and substituting a Valentine heart dangling from the bow in itÂ’s place. I embellished the central panel with hand punched and assembled flowers and leaves.

Great innovative use of your image. And I love your creative and descriptive title.
Thanks for playing VSN.
