My submission to the 200th Color Combo Challenge... and to the worst Mother of the Year 2009 competition (HeeHee)
I know that even though all the scrapbook mags show adorable children, being perfect... they are always well-behaved and cute. So here is my tribute to my problem child.
For those who are wondering... here is the journaling -
If you only knew how much this adorable photo has saved your life!
This is the photo I look at when I am about to strangle you.
It reminds me that once upon a time,
you were a sweet little boy, full of giggles and smiles.
You always did have an attitudeÂ…
like when you called your dad a son-of-a-b*tch at age 3,
and the months where your favorite word to describe me was “idiot”.
Oh and don’t forget age 2, when your favorite saying was “Aw f#*%!”
Eventually, you got out of those stages,
which gives me hope that
you will get over the moodiness and smart-aleck-ness
which are your trademarks at age 10.
IÂ’ll always love you,
no matter how much we fight and argue, but until the day you quit trying to push my buttons,
IÂ’ll just keep this picture handy, for your own protection!

My son is 11, and I have a similar pic that has saved his neck once or twice. I have to pray on a daily basis for the lord to give me a bit more patience lol. I love him to pieces, but sometimes I have to just walk away.

Thanks ladies! It is good to know that other people have the same issues with their kids.
Oh, and if anyone is wondering where he learned those words, some from the babysitter's kids, and the f-bomb from mommy and daddy. But in our defense, we were wallpapering at the time. If I ever get a divorce or commit homicide on my husband, it will be because of wallpapering.

This just brought tears to my eyes! You must have been looking in while my ds was at home! My ds is almost 28 and has outgrown much of it! He isn't still at home, so doesn't push my buttons nearly so much! He was the master of button pushing! I always told him that there was nothing he could do to make me love him more AND nothing he could do to make me love him less! He did give it an all-out try though! Your LO is such a keeper! Love the real life journaling! No rosy coating here!
