I was absolutely floored by the cakes at this inspriation 'spot'......and my inspiration for both cards came from a variety of them.....I loved the florals, stripes, dots, scallops throughout the various masterpiece cakes.......and took those ideas and ran with them to create these two cards.
The first thing I want you all to notice about this one, especially the gallery regulars, is that I did not use ONE PIECE OF BLACK C/S in the making of this card.........lol......it was hard but I managed to do it. I seem to have an addiction to black cardstock mats.......maybe cuz of my weak peepers the black really outlines it for me......but anyhow.....I DID IT!!!
I used a new MFT stamp in making this one........along with a Martha Stewart punch and some ribbon......pretty simple........other than the placement of the pearls......with my peepers I probably should always use ROUND things....they are easier to place......the card took only a short time...the placement of the pearls (don't look too close....lol)...that was a whole other adventure.....
thanks for looking

This is such a cheery card!! It looks like you stitched each stripe in the BG...if you truly did...that's absolutely amazing!!

Very pretty! Love the image and the scallops with the pearls look wonderful! Awesome colours too Congrats on not using any black either!!! I always seems to use a white card base. I should try and come out of my comfort zone more often, lol! Love your card
