This is the Christmas card I made for my husband this year. He is a big Snoopy/Peanuts fan.
The Snoopy stamp was stamped mutiple times on white cardstock , colored with Prismacolor pencils, and then cut out and layered using dimensional/foam tape. Snoopy's arm is the highest (4 layers). The top of the dog house is 3 layers high. Snoopy's ear is a piece of black foamboard. His (visible) eye and nose both have dots of black puff paint (dimensional fabric paint) for added dimension. All of the Christmas lights on the dog house were created with several layers of puff paint (dried between layers) to make the light bulbs stand out. The edge of the dog house has a layer of snow made from puffed/heated dots of liquid applique.
The falling snow is puffed up dots of liquid applique. The star is made up of lines of gold puff paint with a clear rhinestone placed in the center while the paint was still wet. The snowman and Christmas tree are both small wooden embellishments (from Michael's) which I decorated; to the snowman I added toothpick arms, a felt hat, liquid applique "snow", and black buttons (black puff paint); to the tree I added liquid applique "snow", gold dots of puff paint for ornaments, and a yellow star button tied with gold thread.
The snow is a combination of several layers of crushed mica (mica flakes/mica chips) and areas of puffed up liquid applique.
The "Silent Night" banner is a combination of a banner stamp (Martha Stewart) and a sentiment stamp (Impression Obsession). The banner ends were curled around scissors to add depth. The banner was then adhered with dimensional/foam tape to maintain the flowing banner shape.
Thanks for looking!
