While waiting for the challenge to post, I made labels for the containers of snack mix that I plan to give neighbors, guests, and just to have on hand for that last minute, unexpected needed gift. How cool to realize I could use this for the 'quick gift' challenge today! I used my CB and Labels 1 dies then added felt snowflakes and punched sentiment...so quick and easy! This recipe was very easy to mix together and thought I would share it with you (taken from Paper Crafts Gourmet magazine):
1 bag semisweet chocolate chips
3 c. Corn Chex cereal
3 c. Rice Chex cereal
3 c. Wheat Chex cereal
2 c. salted dry-roasted nuts (peanuts, cashews, or almonds)
2 c. small pretzel twists
2 c. miniature marshmallows
1 (20oz.) pkg. vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark/ambrosia)
Place chocolate chips in freezer to chill. Mix cereals, peanuts, pretzels, and marshmallows in large bowl; set aside. Microwave candy coating in large uncovered microwavable bowl on high for 1 min. 30 sec. Stir, breaking up large chunks. Microwave about 30 seconds more or until coating can be stirred smooth. Gently and quickly pour coating onto cereal mixture and fold in until evenly coated. Stir in chilled chocolate chips. Spread on waxed paper; cool completely. Break into chunks. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
