Cards_by_America's gallery is amazing. I wanted to go with this card, Let it Snow, hoping that since it's a recent one, everybody wouldn't have cased it, but hey, it's the best compliment, right?
This was my VERY first ever Magnolia image ... Received it from my Secret Santa, saxontoy, on Friday. My first attempt at the alcohol based markers, shirt is with my 2 copics and rest is from the Bic Mark-it set. I have to admit, the copics are kinda fun ... Uh Oh ...
Anyway, matted this little guy on brilliant blue & popped up on dimensionals. Layer beneath is brilliant blue 'very old' striped DP matted on brilliant blue, then 6 eyelets added to thread the 3 different ribbons through before knotting them. This layer also popped up on dimensionals.
Now ... My intentions were to finish with the base of brilliant and unk DP (thanks Inkstazonme), however ... when I went to flip the card over to sign it ... The card was upside down, SO ... I made the card a 5x7, adding the white base and another blue DP. Gotta make it work, right?
Anyway, had fun with the challenge ... had fun w/the Magnolia guy - need to research more to see his name ... and had fun w/the Copic/Bic coloring technique ...
Thanks so much for the inspiration, Cards by America, and thanks for looking.

This is beautiful Colette! I did my first Magnolia also this week. Congratulations on the fine work in coloring details. WOW, yeah, those Copics work wonders...I tried them at the scrapstore and almost died when I saw the $$$. I believe they are worth it though. The blue ones would be on my list for sure. You did so good, I beleive I want to case yours now. Just lovely what you did withe the fence and the bows. Great card, and I guess you must know, blue is my favorite color. LOL
