Measurements: navy base (A2 size) 4 1/4 x 5 ½”, celery panel - 4 x 5 ¼”, multi colored top panels - 3 13/16 x 1 5/8”, sentiment scalloped edge - 2 ¾ x1 3/8”
With the holiday shopping season upon us I thought this would be a fun card to make, although DH does most of outs online now and when I did it I was done by Thanksgiving. I hate crowds unless IÂ’m just watching people go crazy!!!
-To stamp my panels and have the image line up evenly without it looking stretched when I put the gap in - this is what I did: cut all the panels, line them up on the celery panel and attach with just a touch of tape on each side. Cut a very tiny strip of scrap paper to place in the gap. Place larger pieces under the panel to cover the area where youÂ’ll stamp and image. These last two pieces were moved around the card as I added images.
-I inked up each image with VersaMark then in colored ink and stamped, poured on clear embossing powder and heated.
-The flowers are colored with Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps the same technique as Gamsol or mineral spirits.
I then ran a black marker around the edge keeping the marker in back of the flower to avoid a slip and ruining your image.
A dot of Art Glitter adhesive and Dazzling Diamond glitter was added to each flower center. The flowers are attached with glue or Diamond Glaze if itÂ’s over an embossed area.
-The stitching was done on a machine.
-Ribbon is tied first and taped to the back.
-Sentiment panel if popped up with foam tape.
Well, it's late and I was getting sleepy until I saw this--now I'm charged and ready to roll (lol)!! Very cool job with the abstract bg--hadn't seen that one before--a real eyecatcher and sums up the shopping mania perfectly!
