Wow, oh, wow, Kathy, thank you so much for the link to DAMES...what an awesome clip...it inspired me to add that to my NetFlix que and to make a card for your challenge! I appreciate your models and all the work you put this challenge!
Of course, the Rock star kid's quote had to come out...and I was thinking, well THIS star is geometric...and maybe I could part with one of my hoarded Rock Star papers by Mariah Johnson...and there you have it...this star was born.
I inked the sentiment directly to paper with Stazon cotton white and embossed in Seafoam white (Ranger). My unmounted star from Purple Onion was brought to life with Adirondack snow cap pigment ink. I stamped the paper to GP white cs with silver staples.
This will go into my boy stash...love those boys o' mine. One of 'em even comes to SCS occasionally when he's homesick and reads my commentary. I love you son, you know you are my shining STAR!

Well, I love your card, the sentiment is so cute (I have the grandma one) but your comment to your son, just in case he looks, has me teary eyed - that is such a 'Mom' thing and so sweet.

Susan, you are always one in a million...your brain is tuned into some distant music all the time..LOL! I love your card...I looked, and said out loud, This is in the wrong spot! How dense I am! Of course the star is geometric...apologies! You are right again. Hugs, girlie!!!!

Susan,
Thanks to Anne, I overcame my DUH moment 'cause I thought this was in the wrong challenge, too. Of course the star is the focal point!
Love the gritty, rock-and-roll feel to this card and I love the sentiment! This is a superb interpretation of my challenge. Thanks so much for playing along!!

THIS card rocks for sure QOS! I love the white ink on that awesome paper! I HATE that feeling when you use a beloved piece of dp, but usually the result is sooo fabulous, just like this card! I LURVE it!
