| | I made this card for the October (200 VSN Mini Cabaret Challenge “Frame Your Star”. Our challenge was to create a frame for the star in our life.
My “star” is my husband and I took this opportunity to make a decorative mat for a picture of us that was taken this summer at our annual family reunion and has been sitting on my desk, begging to be framed.
I used a method to color the roses that is similar to the technique demonstrated in the SCS Tutorial “Stained Glass Windows”. These simply beautiful flowers are simple to make and take simply no time at all! I’ll be posting detailed instructions for making these flowers and the other elements of this mat on my blog in the next day or two.
Total time to make this frame – 39 minutes
Edit Note: Today I uploaded another photograph of this card that shows the filligree design in much more detail. |
