I guess I've been living under a rock for the past 3 weeks because just today I became aware of the card donation program in place for the Chemo Angels (from Stef's Inspiration Challenge). I set out to make this card to try to catch up quickly and be able to send 10 cards by November 3rd.
The fall gardening theme is more wishful thinking than anything. It was a sunny crisp day and I wasn't able to be out in it, so I made this card because it reminded me that it really is the little things that make life big. Here in Seattle, a sunny day is a pretty big deal! So despite not being able to play in the dirt, I'm ecstatic to have enjoyed the sun through a window!
The image is from the set Little by Little which I just discovered recently. My thanks to Annette from Pacific Fabric and Crafts for the yummy silk flowers!
After I made this card, I decided that I'm really not sure if the sentiment on the card is appropriate. It seemed like a good idea at the time; and, in retrospect, it now seems a little insensative. Any feedback would be welcome on that note. You won't hurt my feelings! I'd prefer to not send this card if it is not appropriate.
Have a lovely evening and thanks for looking!

What a beautiful card, M! Gorgeous ribbon and that image is precious! Just a really neat card, M. As for your question, here's what I think: your sentiment is perfect in my opinion. Just think about what each of these cancer patient experience when they think about their futures ... how appropriate... I have to think in those situations where our futures are uncertain, it really is the little things that make life BIG on a day to day basis. Just my thoughts: it's a beautiful card, my friend.
