I made this card for TLC191, Pencilled Pink Twinks.
Maybe I should have chosen a larger image to show the effect better? Anyway, I really liked the effect of using H2Os to moisten watercolour pencils and I will most definitely be trying it again. Soon!
The bird stamp is Hero Arts, stamped on watercolour paper with Versafine Black, coloured with watercolour pencils. I used just water to colour the purple body and the background, and 2 shades of pink H2Os for the tail and wings.
The sentiment is from Pink Cat Studio, stamped with Brilliance Orchid Pink on watercolour paper. I used the same technique of H2Os to moisten the watercolours for the shading round the edges.
The base is a pinky-peach pearlescent card, with a layer of DCWV paper. I added two fabric flowers with Kaiser pearls in the centre, and a row of pearls beside the sentiment.
It's miles away from my usual style but this sort of card is always useful and I'm sure it won't be in my box for long.
Thanks, Lynn, for a new technique which combines my two favourite ways of colouring.

Lovely card. I especially like the way that you added the flowers which look like they are growing off the vine. The sentiment is a wonderful one as well. Thanks for playing along with the challenge today!
