Kudos to Emily for bringing awareness and thank you for the challenge!
This card is for my friend Heather. I bought the poodle with Heather in mind because she is all girl and loves bling to boot! She doesn't have a poodle, but she has one of those adorable tiny little lap dogs. (The kind many of us are afraid we will step on by accident.) Her dog's name is Princess and she is all that. Princess is the only dog in the universe that hates me. (Okay, one of two dogs in the universe that hates me ... let's not go there! I love dogs and they usually love me back!)
So putting the poodle dialogue aside, I still thought of Heather when I bought this applique and am pleased to finally use it. I added rhinestones to the layout because it IS a poodle! The bling isn't exactly my style and I refrained from adding ribbon, which would have thrilled Heather to no end. (Forgive me Heather. I even had polka dot ribbon to go with this!)
If you don't know Heather, please check out her gallery at Princessheather. It's pretty amazing.
Pink is good. Please be aware of Breast Cancer Week and get a mammogram! It is a better day today than it was in our mother's day ... take advantage of modern science and be well!
Thanks for looking (and for listening to my rant!) ...

OMGosh, M, this is radically adorable! I love pink cards, but just never seem to be able to make one worthy of being uploaded, but yours is so totally wonderful. Love your poodle applique. Love your story! So Princess is the kind if you're not looking, you step on! Oh Heather isnt going to like this but, we dont call that size a dog in our family: A dog has to anything over 40# and better yet is s/he is near the 100 mark! Now that a dog. Someday, Heather will see that for herself, we have to hope. She'll love this card for sure, M.
Great work.
