This is for LSC189. Well, Judy!!! You got me to use something that I have never used. I got these Rhinestone brads when they first came out with Stampin Up and this is the first time I've ever used them. I was not hoarding them.....just don't fit my usual style of card. I decided to use all three sizes of them on the new evergreen tree from Flourishes. I know some people freak out to use more than a couple of brads at a time....but since I may never use these again I decided to to whole hog.
I stamped the tree on watercolor paper with Distress Peeled Paint. I filled in a tiny bit with a dry brush run directly over the ink pad and then stippled on the tree. I sponged Distress Scattered Straw all aound the tree to make it glow. I used my paper piercer to punch holes randomly around the tree and attached the brads. Those brad backs are so huge that I used mounting tape to attach it to the back layer instead of trying to glue the tree layer down flat. I tied tiny little red satin knot/bows to attach to the tree to complete the tree decorations. Liquid Applique neated for snow along the tree base and a red grosgrain bow completed the main image layer. I cut a red scalloped border with my decorative scissors and place a strip of the DP over it for contrast. I really love this tree.

Oh my gosh, how delightful, Kittie!! I love the rhinestones as the ornaments - and how cool it looks to have the different sizes! The little bows are darling too! Awesome fun and festive card!
