My first card tin was getting too full, so I decided to make another one (maybe I just need to actually send the cards I make!). When I saw the butterfly on the cover of the new SU catalogue, I knew I wanted to use it somewhere. Mel (aka stampztoomuch) posted a template on her blog (http://madamecraftypants.com/?page_id=3). I printed it off (the 2.0 version) and then just freehanded it to make it smaller. I cut it out two times. To make the body of the butterfly, I just copied what SU did, but the hat pin was way too long. So I used my trusty crop-o-dile and snapped it in half. It worked pretty well. I attached the hat pin to the butterfly by stitching it on with a needle and thread.
Normally I go crazy with Mod Podge and use it with almost everything, but I just didn't feel like dealing with the mess it makes, so I used sticky strip to attach my paper. The tin won't get moved around or beat up very much, so it should be just fine. The ribbon was something I found on a rummage sale (it's just satin crafting ribbon), and I freehanded the letters. Overall, I love it!!! TFL

Wow--I just got so many new ideas just reading your details. I actually just finished modpodging a box with Bella Rose (I LUV that paper)--haven't done ribbons and so forth yet. I like the way you used the narrow ribbon around the lid and the top of the paper. And I wondered if you could cut the hat pin if you didn't want it as long.
