I orignally intended to overlap the entire face of this card with the vellum, but it drowned out the haunted house too much, so I used Vellum Dots to adhere just the haunting treaters! I wanted it to appear that they were headed toward the house, so I reversed the image by putting the stamped side down.
I used a small cotton ball to apply shades of purple around the house (I masked the house). The moon is colored in with a pastel pencil (yellow) and then I circled the outside of the moon with the yellow pencil on top of the purple inks to make it appear as if the moon is glowing (it looks much better in person than it does in the photo). The windows and door are colored in with Summer Sun Yellow.

Super idea. I wonder how this would have looked if you had used acetate (or a piece of a transparency sheet - think overhead projector sheet) to put the kids on? I wonder if that would have let the house shown through more? The moon is totally real looking. And the yellow windows on the house makes it all pull together.
