Measurements: image panel before borders – 2 x 3 7/8”, striped panel 2 3/16 x 4 1/8”, top left purple – 1 ½ x 15/16”, green – 1 ½ x 2 1/16”, bottom strip 7/8” x 3 7/8”.
The orange panel is cut ¼” smaller than the base. Around that image panel is orange layers – 1/16” and purple is 1/8”.
In real life the orange is just a bit brighter on the panel and layers, but its close enough and was a fun card to make!
-The base of the card is stamped with the CHF cheesecloth image, the orange with CHF canvas then ink distressed
-The background is designer paper which I ink distressed and I did some stamping on the striped paper and a bit of paper piercing.
-I first determined the fence position, lined up the cat then set the fence aside and stamped the cat. I added the eye and ear color with Prismacolor pencils. With a VersaMark pen I covered the cat and heat embossed with clear powder to act as my resist.
-Tore a post it note and mask off the sky to sponge on the grass area.
-I didnÂ’t worry about masking off the grass since its dark. I sponged the sky starting with yellow, orange on top of yellow and eggplant at the top, black distress ink all around the edge and heavy on the right top corner.
-Stamped the tall weeds image then glued on the fence.
-The bats were sculpted with a metal ball stylus. I first score straight lines for the wings and body then turn it over and use the large ball to roll circles for each section of the wings and the body. I do this on a folded paper towel. The bats are glued to the card.
-The boo sentiment is a double layered sticker.
I like this cat; itÂ’s not a real scary image and reminds me of my SILÂ’s cat named Spooks who went to kitty heaven many years ago.
