We have this big wire rack outside the window in the backyard that my DH has lots of plants on. It is right by my bird feeder, that he just hates because of the mess and everything it attracts. Anyway, one day I was looking out the window and I saw this varmint that I thought was a rat with real hairy legs and a bushy tail. Then I realized it was a squirrel! I have never seen a squirrel in our yard so this was a real surprise. So, DH moved the feeder so Mr. Squirrel couldn't get to it. He has returned a couple of times because he had planted food in the flower pots! LOL So, that is why I chose the Squirrel #2 for my inspiration today. http://catherinesanimals.com/#a=0&at...10000&s=28&p=1
Here are the details......
Tried to re-create the dp they used in the picture. used a flower stamp from Moose You set. Stamped it, with versa mark then eb with red dragon ep. Stamped the dots with SU new color pink pirquette. Used my cloud stencil from Rosie's Roadshow to sponge around the flower groups and the edges of the panel that I also doodled on.
The bottom panel was brayered with riding hood red. I am really liking these new colors let me tell you! I also doodled the edges.
The squirrel was colored with Faber-Castell Pens, outlined with a blue marker, versa marked, and clear ep. Then I cut it out and popped up the top part.
The flower pot was stamped with close to cocoa, versa marked and clear eb. Cut out, and glued on. All the acorns were colored with FCP, versa marked, clear ep and cut out. Some were popped up. I only added the pot of acorns because it went with my story.
All this was put on a white card. There you have it in a nut shell!!!! LOL TFL :0)
Hi Sis! Great card today in your gallery and great RAK of yours in Anne Ryans's gallery today too!

This is exactly what I was thinking, nutmeg! What's that saying about great minds.... Only problem is I dont have any red paper! I dont even have red ink! So glad you stepped up to the plate on my behalf. This is so totally 2 of Catherine's animals. Maybe you and she could connect since you're well versed now in squirrels! Fab card my Citrus Heights' friend.

So cute! I love his expression! Your *wallpaper* is adorable, and the flower pot of nuts makes me smile! We have so many squirrels that they're a nuisance and they're forever collecting/hiding their stash!

I love your card. The squirrel is so cute and he looks so caught in the act. The DP you made is wonderful and it really captures the backgrounds in the photos. I like the little bucket of acorns in the corner as well. The story was great too. Nice inspiration for your card. We have a squirrel here too that chewed a spot in the corner of the plexiglass to make it so he could just climb inside the bird feeder and eat whenver he wanted to! Squirrels are too smart for their own good aren't they!?! Love the squirrel image you chose for the card. Thanks for sharing such a terrific card!

This is so cute! Only 1 squirrel? We have minimum, a dozen that show up every morning below our deck. I had to start feeding them to keep them out of the bird feeders. I expect them to come knocking if I'm not out there at the usual time.
