This is my sample for Michelle's (eliotstamps) VSN challenge for tonight. Did you all know that Michelle is a newspaper woman? No doubt, she's amazing at her job as she incorporates it into her art - who does that? Only the most dedicated employees, right? Anyways, the challenge was to use newsprint in your card design, in honor of Michelle's favorite book - The Shipping News. I never read the book, but I saw parts of the movie. It looked like an interesting story. I saw this layout on Amazing Paper Grace's blog a few weeks back and knew that I wanted to try it here. Thanks so much, Michelle, for a great challenge!! Thanks for looking!

That scalloped border is to die for! I like that it's black, white, and red all over. ;)

That image is wonderful, Karolyn, and I just love the black, white and red color combination. The punched/pearl edge is GORGEOUS! Thanks so much for making a great sample for my challenge. You're the bomb!

Amazing layout. Into my favorites again. The colors remind me of the BLACK AND WHITE AND RED ALL OVER old joke about newspapers. But you probably did that on purpose cause you are so clever.
