This card took a lot of patience, but the end result is awesome. It is hard to see in the photo, but the butterfly looks light blue in real life. It was hard not to get a glare. This was a card of lots of challenges.
It was for the technique lovers challenge 181
I didn't have sheets of acetate, so...
#1 challenge: find acetate. I found an acetate box that was holding highlighter pens. Who needs a box to hold pens?
I have only a couple of reinkers, so...
#2 challenge: find color. I used markers. I colored on a scrap of the box.
I don't have crystal effects, so...
#3 challenge: find a medium to apply color. I used Aleene Tacky Glue. I used a paper clip to mix the glue and the marker's color on the scrap acetate. I then applied it to my piece of acetate.
Here is where the real patience came in. It took 2 hours to dry. (And that was with a fan blowing on it)
Because it was really thick acetate, my adhesive didn't want to hold so...
#4 challenge: Find a way to attach the acetate. I ended up using 6 little brads.
Let me know what you think.
