Lisa here your hostess for this weeks Ways to Use It challenge.
I am pretty certain one of the first few techniques I learned was paper piecing. My best friend and I use to have pages of images we could create and we just needed to trace the shapes, cut, add some color and layer to create some super fun embellishments for our scrapbooks. Thankfully things have come a long way since those days. We have punches, die cuts, great open stamps to stamping shapes and cutting and some might even have Cricuts. Today's challenge is to paper piece.
Here are some fun tutorials that have some great paper piecing ideas:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
We have amazing cards this week from the very talented team.

Thank you Lisa for the inspiration! For my card creation I went with a truck under a blue sky- a few clouds, but sunny! Put a layered fussy cut sun in the pickup bed, and added a golden "road" and a aqua blue top border. Used my watercolor pencils, then misted for a diffuse effect. Added yellow hubcaps for my truck. Here's you bring sunshine

I actually posted this card late yesterday but didn’t have a challenge category in which to add it. The golfers shirt is paper-pieced so I am adding it to this Ways To Use It Challenge.
Great ideas to try! And it only took me reading three tutorials before I finally realized that the topic was paper piecing, not piercing, as I had read it. Sure makes a lot more sense now!
I'm working toward my "Challenge Catch-ups" goal. So many ways to paper piece...many possible tutorial links included in the challenge description. I've used paper strips layered first, and then woven and adhered to card front.
