I'm back with another challenge. Today is the birthday of Henry David Thoreau. National Simplicity Day is held in honor of him, as he believed in living simply. You can check out a couple of links about this: here and here. The task for this challenge is then to find a way to use the clean and simple style on your project.
You can go further if you like by incorporating some of the ideas presented in the links. For me, it was a clean and simple card with an element of nature. Sabrina was inspired by a quote she read and then built her clean and simple card around that. Lisa mentioned using up her stash, which fit with the notion of being frugal and decluttering, as she created her clean and simple card. A big thank you to Sabrina, Lisa, Cathy and Carla for helping me out this week with some fabulous projects. for the Simplicity challenge, I pulled out a scalloped watercolor powder border, some dotted washi tape, and made this simple gate fold card. Used a small scalloped circle with folded clear tape on the back for my card close catch. For my dear niece in California for her birthday Here's best fishes

Toni, I loved this challenge. It brought back memories of reading Thoreau. Here's my card, based on my quote.

I normally scan my cards, but this one didn't show the textural details, so I used a real camera, which of course needed new batteries. It took a me longer to take the pic, and download it to the computer than it did to make it. WT696 Simply Add Love
This is a pretty clean and simple card for me. I'm honoring one of the elements of nature found in many of Thoreau's writings: a flower. Examples of flowers showing up in his writing are: "One of the most attractive things about the flower is their beautiful reserve," and "Simplicity is the law of nature for men as well as for flowers.�
