WT32-Join In and Play along - New Ways to Use It Challenge
This week's Ways to Use It Challenge is to use your BRAYER. You can use any technique you want, anything you can think of to make your card or other stamped project. If you have any tips you would like to share about brayering, please feel free to post them to this thread. I have attached a file with some brayering ideas for those of you who are interested.
Please remember to put WT32 in your keywords section and post a link to your card back here once your card is uploaded.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with this week,
Julia
Oh good! I was beginning to worry no one wanted to brayer. Of course, I still haven't managed to do last week's envelope challenge so I'd better get caught up!
Not to worry Julia, I checked out the thread and got right to work on mine but I had to pick up my granddaughter from practice and make lasagna before that, check in on the challenges and now Im ready to finish my card.

I had fun with my brayer today. I'd always wanted to try the serigraph technique, so I did. Thanks for making me try something new today, Julia! I combined this challenge with the sketch challenge too. My brain is fried now! :p
Julia.........The Brayer!!! I can hardly make a card without using my trusty brayer. I will be posting one later. My favorite use of the brayer is when I use a BG stamp. I ink the BG stamp with my ink pad then brayer with the same ink to get complete coverage on those big, hunking stamps! Works great. Nancy
Oh My Gosh Julia... How did you know that I bought a brayer a few weeks ago and haven't got it out of the package yet. Let's see... 5:00. I've got two hours until music practice starts. Plenty of time to experiment.... I think?!
I got one done in between life itself! I usually wait until it's approved to post but it's bedtime and I'm leaving the house early in the morning. 8:15 doctor's appointment - what was I thinking, oh yeah - first in first out and then out to breakfast with DH!
I used three brayers on this card so I guess it quailifies!
Here's one I did for the color challenge this week. I used a brayer for the background. That's the only way I can get even coverage on my background stamps. I want to try another today if I have time. tfl!
Thanks Julia. I tried a couple of different techniques. First attempt flopped!! Serigraph turned out better. Here is my card. "Autumn Hello" Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I tried several of the 58 techniques listed with this challenge before I got one that worked out for me. I just need to practice with the brayer. In the past I have only used it to lay color on when using my plaid makers. I finally settled with the mirror image technique. My coloring is not too good on this card but I was pleased with how well the images lined up. One thing is that the brayered image is not as sharp as the stamped image and looks a little fuzzy. Thanks for a great challenge Julia.
I have been soooo busy this week I am "forced" to link to a formerly posted card using the frost technique. This uses the rubber brayer, ink up crumbled and straightened wax paper, then brayer over the clean side of the wax paper (inked side face-to-face with glossy white CS). This is my favorite technique. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Well FINALLY! Here is my try at this challenge. Nothing like draggin your feet on your own challenge! I decided to do the frost technique, my favorite easy brayer technique because I love it, it is so easy and I haven't seen many other people use this technique and thought I would share.
