WT275 Raving on Ribbon (06/17/10)
So. How many ribbon fanatics do we have here? Probably a lot! This challenge is for you and also for those of you who don't use it quite as much. Ribbon is a paper crafting basic and a challenge we've done before but it's been a long, long time and worth another revisit, right?
I love ribbon. All kinds of it. Some of us like to use a little. Some like to have it everywhere! Today I'm challenging you to find ways to use it. Show us your favorite unique way to use it or try something new. I'd love to see what creative ideas you can come up with! However you decide to play, as long as there is ribbon (even stamped ribbon images), you're good for this challenge
Please remember to put WT275 in your keywords section and post a link back here so that we can all see your work. Please link only newly uploaded creations for this challenge as we want to get you creating!
My sample: Silk Ribbon Roses Card
WT275 Gallery Submissions
Thanks so much for playing along!
Happy creating,

Oh, I like ribbon, just not good at using it. I'll see what ideas I can come up with for this.
Thanks, Julia.

Well, Julia, I was a failure at this challenge! I did try to fashion some crinkled ribbon roses...to no avail! After several tries and losing patience(I'm not one of those "try, try again" people....I move on), I just tinted some premade roses. I'm sure there are going to be some spectacular ribbon creations in the gallery today. Your rose is beyond amazing and gorgeous!

Hey Julia, I love the new avatar! Love today's challenge, too. I always use ribbon....don't think I can make a card without it. I used two different kinds on my card:

What a time I had uploading this!! I finally figured out how to reduce the # of pixels to upload. I must have tried 7 or 8 times! I hope this is not the way we have to go from now on!!!

The thought of using ribbon was scary until I realized I didn't have to make a bow. Here's mine.

Boy, I had a lot of trouble uploading my photos today, too!! I wonder what's up . . .
I love using ribbon on my cards and do use it a lot. I wish I'd had time to do something really spectacular with ribbon for today's challenge. Unfortunately, I had a papercrafting project that needed to be done TODAY, so I was able to use this challenge for that, but it's nothing very original or spectacular. I'll have to come back later with something to write home about.
Anyway, here are my projects:

I needed to make a baby card today, so incorporated the ribbon, which was natural! But used it differently for me by edging some of my card with it. Also this is my first attempt at a tri-shutter card. You girls make it look so easy! Pleas give me tips! Although I watched the demo, I still had a difficult time with the cutting. Any tips? Please tell me you have trouble too!
Here is my Baby ribbon card
Thank you for the challenge Julia!

I tried "quilting" with ribbon. I have a ton of ribbon that I need to seriously start using up.
