Default WT1059 - Foiled Again - 06/26/2025

It's Sabrina here as your hostess this week - and as you can guess from my title, we are looking at ways of foiling / using foil.
I don't have the time or budget to go down the foiling plate road, but I do see some amazing creations - and when we had to upgrade my printer a couple of years back I made sure to get a laser one so I can foil my own sentiments or prints, and I do.
Other options include a gel medium (I was gifted the deco foil transfer gel and the laminator, but cold foiling can be done - any glue that stays tacky when dry will work for this - see a tutorial from Lydia here: Precision Foiling With Glue Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

and even PVA glue should work so long as you wait long enough before adding your foil - Foiled Images Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

This is a favourite of mine - Brush Stroke Foiling Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

Then of course you have gilding flakes, which are essentially foil. Great burnished onto any sticky background (I've found they'll even stick to alcohol ink backgrounds where they are still tacky) and here's a tutorial using them on ribbon: Gilded Ribbon Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

No hot foling, no gilding flakes? Surely you have some aluminium (to me, that's aluminum in the US) in your kitchen.

Foil Stained Glass Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

Faux Tin Tiles Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

I look forward to seeing which option you choose.

When you've finished creating, upload your card with the keyword WT1059, and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card in case of keyword typos or gallery glitches.

Here's a link to our WT1059 Foiled Again gallery

Here's a link to my sample: WT1059 Little Bird by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers

If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

As always my thanks to the team for their inspiring samples.

Please note - IMPORTANT

There was a site upgrade, and at the time (late Wednesday) that I prepped this post, keywords were not working.
Please be sure to post a link to your creation in this thread, otherwise it may be impossible to find your card and leave comments. Let's hope it's a quick fix.

I 've wanted to try faux tin tile for a while, so this was the perfect opportunity. Here's my card: WT1059 Vintage tile, vintage style by stampingwriter at Splitcoaststampers
I'll be checking back to follow links for commenting.

Please be aware that there is currently a keyword and gallery issue, so UNLESS your card is linked here, nobody will be able to find it.

I've made another card and that was even more fun to make some prints with the foiled piece
Here's the card: Foiled Again
