It's Sabrina here as your hostess this week - and as you can guess from my title, we are looking at ways of foiling / using foil.
I don't have the time or budget to go down the foiling plate road, but I do see some amazing creations - and when we had to upgrade my printer a couple of years back I made sure to get a laser one so I can foil my own sentiments or prints, and I do.
Other options include a gel medium (I was gifted the deco foil transfer gel and the laminator, but cold foiling can be done - any glue that stays tacky when dry will work for this - see a tutorial from Lydia here: Precision Foiling With Glue Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
Then of course you have gilding flakes, which are essentially foil. Great burnished onto any sticky background (I've found they'll even stick to alcohol ink backgrounds where they are still tacky) and here's a tutorial using them on ribbon: Gilded Ribbon Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
When you've finished creating, upload your card with the keyword WT1059, and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card in case of keyword typos or gallery glitches.
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how: 1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
As always my thanks to the team for their inspiring samples.
There was a site upgrade, and at the time (late Wednesday) that I prepped this post, keywords were not working.
Please be sure to post a link to your creation in this thread, otherwise it may be impossible to find your card and leave comments. Let's hope it's a quick fix.
Sabrina, this was a fabulous challenge. Here's my card.
