Title: Celebrate/Food Hostess: Mary Beth/lutheran Keyword: MAY11VSBNC Day/Date: Saturday, May 7 Time: 6p.m. EDT
It's hard to separate food and celebrations. Can't have a birthday without cake; Christmas is not the same without Uncle Fred's eggnog.
The theme for this challenge is to scrap your cherished food/celebration/event memories. Include photos and your story.
Challenge: Punch, stencil, stamp, die cut or hand cut a geometic shape and repeat the shape throughout your layout. For a "graduate level" challenge, add texture and/or specialty papers. On my 2 page layout, I used circles of various sizes, vellum, mulberry, a tissue napkin and roughed up edges.
Enjoy your tasty trip down memory lane!

UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. To be considered for VSBN Recognition, ALL VSBN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10 p.m. (EDT) SUNDAY, MAY 15.
2. You have two hours to complete your layout. Please include a brief description of how you interpreted the challenge.
3. Remember to use MAY11VSBNC as the Keyword; a wrong keyword can keep your layout from consideration. Copying and pasting the keyword is suggested to avoid errors.
It is also recommended to post a link to your creation in this chat thread to make sure it is seen by the hostess and other players.
Sorry I don't have food related-celebration-pictures so you'll have to count me out of this one..
I don't know that it necessarily needs to be a "food related celebration". I think that by this: cherished food/celebration/event memories, she means cherished food or celebration or event memories.
I will BRB....it's my 23rd Wedding Anniversary so I'm going to have dinner w/ my DH. I made his favorites -- porkchops and Au Gratin Potatoes and my favorite -- Brownies (LOL!) so I guess I should eat with him

Mary Beth, a great challenge! Loved trying to decide which shape, then had trouble finding more of it! LOL But here is my 2 page LO, Family Ties.
Thanks again
Sharon
This sounds like a fun challenge...thanks for being a hostess Mary Beth. Sorry I wasn't here during your time but I plan on thinking about it overnight and hopefully get to work on a page tomorrow during the day.
Hi BethAnn, I really like your challenge to repeat a geometric shape. Here is the page I put together last night. I added the charms from my Cricut this morning. Just a note - dsp is a bit more orange than in this photo I've noticed. I think the bright sun washed it out. Best Fishes by AnniePanda - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
