He does stuff like that, randomly. He'll forget the big day, but he'll remember 10 other times, so I don't get too het up about it.
He knew I was going to be making some of his favorite foods this weekend, so I think that was a pre-thank you. He said it was because he wanted me to have something pretty in my scrapbook room since I'd be in here so much this weekend.
Yes, ladies, he's taken!
What a guy! Actually, sounds like my hubby...forgets all sorts of things...just does something nice to put a smile on my face. Funny about the food, tomorrow is like the Holidays for hubby, I cook all his favs and he watches the game, it's become a tradition for me and my girls. Actually, last year I scrapped my girls cooking Superbowl Sunday :-)

Aw what a great tradition to scrapbook! I'm a huge sportsfan, and so is DH, so it's a big holiday for us too.
Yet, somehow I'll still be here tomorrow too...

It's always best if the "good stuff" rubs off....not that I can claim much "party animal" status or anything though!

I agree with you completely.
That's what I found last year. Once I got to 100 pages, I had done 'everything', tried most things I saw, wasn't afraid of 'not getting the page just right' because I knew I'd have a new page to try with tomorrow. You know?! SO FREEING. I think we scrappers can get bogged down with the layouts we see in catalogues, or samples at workshops, or art we see on the famous-girl blogs (Ali, Becky, Lisa....Gina...) that our brains take over and stilt our creative/emotional flow and joy!
Just do it....really applies to scrapbooking as well! ;-)
